Ripon City v Kirk Deighton Rangers Match Preview.

Rangers return to cup action this Saturday when they make the trip to Mallorie Park to face Ripon City in the Whitworth Cup.
The game has a 1:30 pm kick-off time, and looking at the weather forecast umbrellas may well be needed with drizzle set to accompany the whole match.
The Opposition.
Ripon plays in the West Yorkshire League Division Two and occupies 6th place in their division at present. At home, they are one of the few sides that remain unbeaten and have won three of their four matches with the other being a 1-1 draw against Old Centralians.
To get to this stage of the Whitworth Cup, they easily defeated Pannal Sports 5-1 with goals coming from all parts of the team.
Looking at the FA stats page, Ripon's main threat is Gareth Barber who has 14 goals coming into this match. Just outside the top 10 as well is Adam Haswell who has seven goals to his name.
Head To Head.
The two sides met last season in the same competition with Rangers running out 4-1 winners with goals from Charlie Yates (2), Joe Straker and Joe Turley (see match report here).
The database also shows two league meetings during the 2017/2018 season. Like the cup result, the spoils also went to us with two victories.

Team News For Rangers.
Hopefully, James Woodward will have recovered from the injury that forced him off against Glasshoughton last Saturday. Manager Dan Marshall will also be able to choose from several players who were unavailable for the last game.
