Preview - Rothwell Reserves

Manager Kris Macdonald and his coaching team will be hoping Saturday provides an instant reply to banish Monday’s 3-2 defeat against Boroughbridge AFC Reserves from the mind. A trip over to Leeds takes our reserves to Fleet Lane, home of Rothwell FC.
The match has a 2:30 kick-off time and looking ahead at the weather, it should be cloudy but dry!
Our hosts also suffered an opening day defeat when they lost a tight match 2-1 against East End Park Reserves. This is Rothwell’s Reserves first season as this current team, but they were in the Alliance Division Two in 2014-2015 as Rothwell Town Reserves when they finished in 10th place (out of 14).
Speaking about the game, Kris said
“We are going into the unknown as Rothwell are a new team to this league and coming off the back of a poor game, by our own standards, we are hoping to get straight back to winning ways! We have a good strong squad tomorrow with plenty of options available from the bench. We have a total of eleven players unavailable or injured, so as you can tell, we are going to need to keep rotating and using numbers for a thirty plus games season. It will be a tough match, but I’m confident.”
The referee for this game will be Mr Christopher Hepworth. Mr Hepworth took charge of Kippax’s 4-0 win over East End Park last Weekend and looking at the stats on the FA website, kept his cards in his pocket for the entire game.
If you would like to watch his match, the address that you will need is Fleet Lane, Oulton, Leeds, LS26 8HX.
