It’s back to pitch action for our First Team as they travel over to York to play Pocklington at The Henry Thirsk Amenity Centre tomorrow evening.
The game has a 7:45 pm kick-off time, but the weather isn’t looking too friendly with Thunderstorms and heavy rain forecast!
Pocklington play their football in the Humber Premier Division and finished runners-up last season, just five points behind champions Chalk Lane.
They are known to be a very difficult team with quality all over the pitch, so it will be another superb test for Dan Marshall’s side.
The York based side have quite the impressive pre-season schedule, packing in no less than ten fixtures for their squad. So far, they have played Wiggington Grasshoppers (won 5-0), Tadcaster Magnets (drew 0-0) and Goole United (drew 2-2), so like us, they remain unbeaten so far!
Head To Head.
They aren’t any official meetings between the two teams being listed in our Database, but as this isn’t quite complete, this may just be an oversight.
However, it is believed that the two teams have met before in Pre-Season matches.
Team News For Rangers.
With the start of the season starting to sneak up on us, it is expected that the Management will be looking at settling positions and tactics. However, saying that, they will also be looking at players in various positions, so there is still time for the squad to impress!
What About Pocklington?
It appears that our hosts have quite a big squad and with a game one night before ours, it is imagined that the players that didn’t play against Driffield will play against us.
