Match Preview: Old Centralians Reserves

Our Reserves travel over to Leeds on Saturday looking to continue their rich vein of form that has seen them unbeaten in their last six matches. Kick-off for this game is 2:30pm and it’s not looking the best of days with light rain forecast for most of the afternoon!
Our opponents are struggling down at the bottom of the table and come into this match off the back of a heavy 7-1 defeat to Salts Reserves. This however will only serve to make them more of a dangerous entity, as they will be looking to exact some payback on us!
At home, Old Centralians have won two of the nine games that they have played, with the other seven being defeats. Goals wise, they have scored 12 times at home whilst conceding the highest home amount in the division with 45.
The last time that the two teams met proved to be good for us, as goals from Sam Straker (2), Micheal McCartney, Chris Plews, Phil Turner, George Thewell and Ross Park helped us to a 7-1 win.
One player that will be missing for us is winger/striker Phil Turner. Phil has unfortunately broken his ankle and will miss the remainder of the season. We send our best wishes for a speedy recovery.
The referee for this game is Mr John McHale. So far this season, Mr McHale has handed out five yellow cards and a solitary red one during his six matches in charge.
If you would like to come and watch this match then the address that you will need is West Park Development Centre Fields, North Parade, West Park, Leeds, LS16 5AY.
