Match Preview: Hartshead

The first away game of 2019 sees us travel down the motorway to face the team that current sit one place and two points behind us. The match has a 2pm kick-off time and looking ahead at the weather, it should be a cloudy day with temperatures of 9 degrees C.
Our victory over Wetherby last weekend was our first in five games, and Manager Dan Marshall will be looking for the team to kick on from that good performance and find another gear as, this will be a match that he will definitely want to win, not only to try and close the gap on Newsome, but to give us a bit of breathing space from teams below us.
Our hosts are, unfortunately for us, notoriously difficult to beat on their own patch. At present, they have won 4, drawn 1 and lost 2. They have scored 20 times at home (avg. 2.9 goals per home game) but have conceded 15 as well (avg. 2.1 goals per home game). The FA stats show us that Hartshead have quite a few goalscorers in their ranks with Jack Rodgerson, Nathan Foster and Andrew Wood all in the top ten with 19, 12 and 12 goals respectively (Rodgerson has 14 in the league, Foster 9 and Wood 8)
The referee for this game will be Christine Forsythe. This will be Ms Forsythe’s fifth match in charge with another four as an Assistant Referee. In her four games, she has issued two yellow cards and one red card.
If you would like to come and watch the game, the address that you will need is Littletown Recreational Ground, Primrose Lane, Liversedge, West Yorkshire, WF15 6LW (this is taken from the Hartshead AFC website)
