Match Preview: Featherstone Colliery

Rangers will be looking to end the season in style tomorrow as we welcome Featherstone Colliery to Barr Field.
The game has a 6:30pm kick-off time and the weather should be good as the app gives a forecast of sunny intervals and temperatures of 13-14 degrees C.
It’s been a good season for us and we would like to try and finish on a high by taking fourth place, but Featherstone are still fighting for their League One status, so will be coming at us as hard as they can in order to get the points that they need to aid their survival.
At present, our visitors are outside the drop zone, lying in 12th place, but there is only a five-point difference that separates 12th from 15th and with many of the teams involved still to play multiple games, all points are precious as the battle to avoid relegation continues. Away from their Cressey's Corner ground, they have won just the once from eleven games (4-1 against Leeds Modernians) and also claimed another point against Hall Green United. Goals-wise, they have scored 16 goals and conceded slightly more than double with 34.
Our first encounter against Featherstone on the 10th November 2018 ended with Roman Neal scoring a hat-trick (Josh Barden with our other), but our 4-1 win was not an easy one as Featherstone rattled our woodwork on several occasions and forced goalkeeper Jonty Smith into making more than one good save to keep them out. See match report here.

Please come and support the team in their last game of the season, the gates will be open from approx. 17:30pm and you are more than welcome to come and join us for a drink in our clubhouse. We will be serving our matchday special for just £2.50 per bottle, as well as a wide choice of both alcoholic and soft drinks for you to buy before, at half-time and after the game.
Also, if you have any spare pennies and would like to donate them to a great cause, we will also have our prostate Cancer UK collection boxes around the clubhouse. You can also buy one of their great Men United Pin Badges for a pound (or two!) from these boxes as well.
