Match Preview: East End Park Reserves

The tough games are coming thick and fast for our Reserves, and Saturday’s contest is certainly no different with a trip to East End Park awaiting Player/Manager Kris Macdonald and his men. The match (weather willing) has a 2pm kick-off time and the forecast is a mixture of sunny intervals and light rain showers.
East End are attempting to regain their status in the Alliance League Division One following their relegation at the end of last season. At present, they are one place above us in the league, courtesy of a two point lead, however they have played four games more, so a win would see us leapfrog them and close the gap on the top three.
On home soil, our hosts have won five, lost two and drawn none. They have scored an impressive 27 times, putting them in top spot for goals scored at home (avg. 4.1 goals per game), but have also conceded the highest amount of the top six with 13 (avg. 1.9 goals per game).
One thing is for certain, Rangers defence will have to be on their toes as East End Park have the leading league goalscorer in the form of Phil Jarvis. Jarvis has scored 19 times so far and averages about 1.5 goals per game.
The referee for this game is Mr Gontzal Camara Egana. Mr Egana has been the man in the middle for four previous matches and has issued eight yellow cards and one red card.
