Kirk Deighton Rangers Reserves v Ilkley Town Reserves Match Preview.

It's a top of the table clash tomorrow as leaders Ilkley Town come to Barr Field.

The match starts at 2:30 pm, and the weather is looking good with sunny intervals and a fresh breeze forecast.

The Opposition.

If we wanted a difficult match to try and bounce back from the 3-1 defeat against Rothwell Reserves last week, we certainly got it!

Ilkley have a reputation of being one of the best sides in the district, and their performances this season are certainly backing this up. At present, they sit at the top of the Division with 33 points from a possible 36 and have suffered just one defeat in twelve games.

This one defeat came on their travels when they were beaten 2-0 by East End Park Reserves at the beginning of the season. Apart from that blip, they have won their other four away matches without too much issue.

Goals wise, they have scored 25 goals which average five goals scored per away league game. They have conceded just the five which averages one goal conceded per away league game.

Looking at the FA Stats page, Lee McGowan leads the way in Ilkley's goals with an impressive 26 goals in total. He is followed by Declan Bradley on 15 and Gareth Pickup on 9.

Head To Head.

This will be the fifth meeting between the two sides and, up-to-date, we have two wins compared to Ilkley's one. We also played out a 3-3 draw last season.

Team News For Rangers.

Rangers will be missing Jack Barker, who begins the first of a two-match suspension. Also out are Sam Murphy, Vito D'Ananzo and Mike Tasker. However, Manager Kris Macdonald welcomes back Chris Plews, Brad Spencer, Luke Trower, Sam Straker and George Thelwell.

Man In The Middle.

The referee for this game is Mr John Murray. Mr Murray has been in charge for eight matches with another six as an assistant referee.

In his matches in charge, he has sent no players to the Sin-Bin, but cautioned nine and sent off two.

As with any official, opposition team and fans who visit us, we hope that Mr Murray has a pleasant and hassle-free time with us.
